Built in 1931 by the Wolosoff Brothers' St. Albans Lawns Inc. from Andrew A. Marjey's plans, No. 116-18 is one of the single houses on 227th Street with a corner vestibule under a flared roof. It still has its first-floor wood window of eight leaded-glass sashes set with colored diamonds, slate on its vestibule roof and parapet, and a stucco chimney shared with No. 116-20. Iron stoop railings and a metal gate are later additions.
