Yeshivas Chofetz Chaim moves its main school to Kew Gardens Hills

Rabbi Dovid Leibowitz founded the yeshiva, legally the Rabbinical Seminary of America, in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, in 1933, naming it for his great-uncle Rabbi Yisroel Meir Kagan, the Chofetz Chaim. It moved to Forest Hills in December 1955 and, in the summer of 2002, to Kew Gardens Hills. The school houses a boys' high school, an undergraduate program and a rabbinical school whose students can earn ordination (semicha).
