Filed as new building 471 of 1899 on tax lot 37, this six-story brick tenement with a commercial ground floor was built together with its neighbor at 176 for the same owners, Harris & Solomon. Michael Bernstein gave it a rusticated second story with terra-cotta beltcourses, and arcaded vertical bays above. Its cornice and original storefronts have since been removed, and the ground floor is now brick infill.
