Six buildings line each blockfront between 34th and 35th avenues, set back to back around a large garden that opens onto 34th Avenue, with gated brick walls between them.

Landmarks report finds every original Chateau door still in place

In 1993 the Landmarks Preservation Commission found that all of the Chateau's original glass doors, in segmentally arched openings and fitted with decorative iron grilles, survived, along with nearly all of the four-over-four wood sash windows and most of the multi-pane casements in the end towers. The rear facades, partly visible from the sidewalks, especially on 34th Avenue, continue the street fronts' style.
