Queensboro announces a full block of garden apartments that becomes Linden Court
In November 1917, as the Greystone Apartments neared completion, Queensboro's MacDougall announced that plans were being drawn for a whole block of garden apartments between 37th and Roosevelt Avenues and 84th and 85th Streets. Andrew J. Thomas designed the complex, Linden Court. Building did not start until the middle of 1919, a delay the landmarks report attributes to World War I and the difficulty of getting financing.
