  1. 1927

39-93 48th Street shares its row's brick detailing and bracketed wood door hoods

The Jefferson Court row that includes 39-93 is trimmed with geometric brick patterning, brick corbels and faceted brick colonettes, and its doors are framed by paneled wood surrounds with hoods resting on wood brackets. Brick chimneys rise after every pair of the gable-roofed houses, and the row's one flat-roofed house has bluestone coping. The Landmarks report found the historic door surrounds and hoods still in place on most of the houses.

  2. 2007

By 2007 39-93 48th Street has a brick and bluestone deck and a small dormer at the rear

Recorded as type B on block 133, lot 118, the house had a repointed facade and its historic door surround and hood when the district was surveyed in 2007. At the rear, one opening had been enlarged for a door and another altered to hold paired casements, opening onto a brick and bluestone deck with brick and cast-stone steps and a metal rail. A small dormer clad in composite siding with one-over-one windows had been added to the roof, and a low brick wall edged the yard.
