After two lots on East 176th Street were bought in 1893, the firm of Napoleon LeBrun & Sons, the Fire Department's architects, designed a Renaissance Revival firehouse at number 451, finished in 1894. A near twin for Hook & Ladder Company 27 went up next door in 1903-04.
