The Burkards built this Renaissance Revival house of brick and stone in 1920 to plans by the architect Henry C. Brucker, filed as new-building application 164-1920. It rises two stories over a basement, with an angled front bay, a broad stone band above the basement, rough-cut stone between its lintels and sills, and a wide ornamented frieze below the cornice. The stoop has since been replaced, the gate beneath it removed and an aluminum awning added over the entrance.
