Paul Stier builds 60-51 Putnam Avenue as part of a curved-bay row

This two-story Renaissance Revival row house on a basement dates from about 1911, when Paul Stier built it under new-building permit 1727 of 1911 with Louis Berger & Company as architect/builder. Its brick front has a curved projecting bay, a bracketed stone door hood and brick panels set below the windows. In the landmarks survey, the facade was painted, the original door had been swapped for a wood-and-glass one with sidelights, and an aluminum awning hung over the entrance.
