Built about 1909 under new-building permit 1920 of that year, this Renaissance Revival house was owned by developer Paul Stier and designed by Louis Berger & Company. It has two stories over a basement, a full-height rounded bay and a door hood on stone brackets topped by a carved pediment. When the Landmarks Preservation Commission surveyed it for the Central Ridgewood Historic District, its original double wood-and-glass doors were still in place, while a light, a camera and an aluminum awning had been added at the entrance.
