About 1909 Paul Stier, the original owner, built this two-story house with a basement under new-building number 1918-1909, to plans by Louis Berger & Company. The Renaissance Revival front combines a full-height rounded bay, a stone water table, contrasting brick spandrel panels and corbelled brick beneath the windows. By the time of the landmarks survey it had a glass-and-metal awning over the main door and a replacement door with a sidelight and transom.
