    G. X. Mathews built 1826 Woodbine Street in 1913 as one of seven Allmendinger-designed flats houses between 1820 and 1832 Woodbine Street. At the 2010 designation, its front had been cleaned and repointed and still had its historic bluestone stoop and railing and an off-white cornice with swags and cartouches. Newer wood-and-glass doors with a sidelight and transom had replaced the originals, and the six-bay rear wall with its fire escape had been stuccoed grey.
