1870 Stockholm Street dates from 1908, built under permit NB 1068-1908 as the lowest-numbered of five row houses (1870 to 1878) on lots 21 to 25 of Queens block 3401. Joseph Weiss & Company was the owner and Louis Berger & Company the architect. The brick houses are two stories over a basement, in what the landmarks report labels the Classical Revival style.

1870 Stockholm Street keeps its wooden porch and old doors when the block is landmarked

In its 2000 description, the Landmarks Preservation Commission noted that 1870, unlike the curved fronts beside it, has an angled three-bay front, which had been repointed. The historic wood porch with Doric columns and square spindles survived, as did the door under the stoop and the double wood-and-glass entrance doors. The stoop, fence and window sash were newer, and the cornice carries swags and egg-and-dart molding.
