Built in 1911 on lot 22 of Queens block 3473, 1882 Cornelia Street is the third of eight buildings between 1874 and 1896 Cornelia that G. X. Mathews filed together under permit NB 1315-11. Louis Allmendinger designed the group in a Renaissance and Romanesque Revival manner. The front has five bays at the base and four above, in pale yellow brick over an amber-brick base, with segmental and round brick arches over the upper windows.
