Like its neighbor at 59-36, this house was covered by permit 2167 of 1908 and designed by Louis Berger & Company for the builder Kilian Schurger. The two-story Renaissance Revival front has two of its three bays in a curved projection, rough-faced bandcourses, scrolled limestone window lintels and a bracketed metal cornice with swags. Aluminum awnings and replacement stoop ironwork came later, but the original front door survives.
