Builder Paul Stier erects this curved-bay two-family house to a Louis Berger & Company design

This two-story Renaissance Revival house was built for Paul Stier under permit NB 1132-1909, with plans by Louis Berger & Company, as the middle house of the row at 60-16 to 60-20 68th Road. Its brick front swells into a full-height curved bay trimmed with incised stone lintels, stone banding and a cornice of dentils, consoles and swags. Later changes shortened the basement windows, took away the stone lintel over the front door and put two satellite dishes on the roof; the iron areaway fence and gate are historic.

“Alterations: Basement window openings shortened, painted stone band below; stone lintel above main entrance door removed…”
