Paul Stier builds 60-31 71st Avenue, a two-family house designed by Louis Berger & Company

Paul Stier was the original owner of this Renaissance Revival two-family house, built in 1907 (permit NB 200-1907) to designs by Louis Berger & Company. Like its row mates it has two curved bays, a brownstone stoop and a bracketed pressed-metal cornice with swags. Its entryway lintel has since been removed and the spot covered with painted stucco, and the stoop has new ironwork and the basement non-historic security grilles.
