The row at 60-56 to 60-98 69th Avenue, dated 1909, is one of the examples the Landmarks Preservation Commission gives of the third and most numerous kind of house that developer Paul Stier put up in Ridgewood. Over 200 of them went up from 1908 to 1912, with bays projecting further than on his earlier models and stoops of rough-faced brownstone. Louis Berger & Company drew the plans and changed the brick colors and trim slightly from one row to the next.

“The third, and most most common type of Stier house, of which over 200 were built between 1908 and 1912, have more pronounced bay projections.”
