Barnet Steinfeld was the original owner of this three-story apartment building on Block 3538, Lot 15, erected in 1915 under new-building application 2369 of that year. Louis Berger & Company laid its wire-cut brick in Flemish bond and gave it five bays on the ground floor but four above, with pilasters running up several stories, a brick dentil course and a bracketed metal cornice with scrolled modillions. Its original stoop survives, though the ironwork on it has been replaced.
