Paul Stier was the first owner of this house, built in 1909 under new-building permit 3613 to a Louis Berger & Company design. The brick and stone Renaissance Revival facade has four bays, three of them curved, with a rough-faced brownstone stoop that is still the original. Later owners painted the stoop and lintels and added new handrails, an aluminum awning, a wrought-iron fence and a bell panel, mailbox and house numbers at the basement.
