Lorber Lands builds Arlington Hall to a Neo-Georgian design by Joshua Tabatchnik

Built in 1939 for the developer Lorber Lands, Arlington Hall is a six-story brick building by Joshua Tabatchnik and one of the later apartment houses in the Jackson Heights district. Its entrance sits in a shallow recess on 35th Avenue, with a deep light court on the 79th Street side. Two-story temple-front motifs crowned by pediments with blind oculi, brick quoins and a Palladian window over the door decorate the facade. The original entrance was later replaced and sixth-floor balconies removed, leaving their brackets.
