Hyman I. Feldman designs the Queen Victoria for the builders of the Queen Elizabeth

Owners Joseph Gerlo and Charles S. Freeman put up the six-story Queen Victoria Apartments in 1950-51 on the south side of 35th Avenue between 86th and 87th Streets. Feldman designed it at roughly the same time as their Queen Elizabeth Apartments, one block west on the avenue's north side, and the two are closely alike. Its late Moderne brick walls carry horizontal banding around a landscaped entrance court, and the 1993 landmark report found some of the original three-over-three windows still in place.

“…very similar to the Queen Elizabeth Apartments, located on the north side of 35th Avenue one block to the west, which was designed by Feldman for the same developers…”
