Number 93 is the second of the pair of 1883 brownstone apartment houses Ralph S. Townsend designed for J. H. Havens and R. C. Winters. Unlike its neighbor at No. 91, it has been altered and now has a classical doorway. Both buildings still carry bold stepped cornices in which brackets alternate with fan shapes, and each facade has two fire escapes running down its center.
