1880 Stockholm Street was built in 1908 under permit NB 1985-1908 as the first of eight brick row houses running from 1880 to 1894 Stockholm Street. Joseph Weiss & Company developed the group, and Louis Berger & Company drew the plans in a Classical Revival style, two stories high over a basement.

1880 Stockholm Street still has its graystone stoop and early wood windows

When the house was documented for landmark designation in 2000, it retained its historic graystone stoop, though painted, as well as historic wood window sash and double wood-and-glass doors at the main entrance. Its curved three-bay front carries rock-faced limestone lintels and a continuous limestone sill band, and a full-width wood porch with Doric columns and square spindles shelters the entrance. The railings, fence and gate are later replacements.
