The five Hampton Court houses on 79th Street, 35-16 among them, went up in 1919-21 under a single new-building permit for the Jackson Heights Apartment Corporation, to plans by architect George H. Wells. Hampton Court was the first of the large projects the Queensboro Corporation began in Jackson Heights each year after Linden Court. Each house is a five-story-and-basement walk-up in red brick laid in Flemish bond with white stone trim. On this side of the block the entrances sit at the center of each facade under stone entablatures, with three-sided bays projecting on either side.
