Suburban-house specialist Rowland Cocks Hunter designs the house

Rowland Cocks Hunter graduated from Columbia University in 1911 and had a Manhattan office through the 1920s, concentrating on big suburban houses in New Jersey, Connecticut and Long Island that were often published in the press. He later drew a "typical" Colonial Revival house for the 1938 National Homes Exposition. His firm, R.C. Hunter & Bro., designed two picturesque Fieldston houses in the 1920s, including this one.
