The last of nine two-family houses built for Kilian Schurger from 58-07 to 58-23 70th Avenue around 1909 (permit NB 1819-1909), this house was designed by Louis Berger & Company in orange iron-spot brick with brownstone and limestone trim. It keeps its historic main-entrance door, iron stoop railings and newel posts, and iron areaway fence and gate. Cameras, storm sashes and ceramic pavers in the areaway have since been added; its parged east side wall is partly visible.
