Built for Ignatz Martin to plans by Louis Berger & Company, the two-family house has the row's full-height rounded bay, rough-cut limestone courses and a cornice with egg-and-dart molding and festoons. The landmarks survey listed its stoop, cornice and double wood-and-glass entrance doors as original, and its front gate with newel posts and its stair railings as historic, although the areaway fence beside them was newer. Electric meters, wiring and a light over the under-stoop door were later additions.

“Historic gate with newel posts; fence not historic; historic stair railings…”
