Around 1908 developer Paul Stier put up this two-family house under permit NB 74-1908, using plans by Louis Berger & Company. It occupies lot 45 of tax block 3516 and is one of 23 two-family row houses that, together with a single flats building, make up the row from 60-01 to 60-47 70th Avenue.

Louis Berger & Company designs the house with a curved bay and a full-width porch

Berger gave the brick front a curved bay rising its full height and a porch across its width, with bands of rough-faced brick, rough-faced stone lintels and a cornice with consoles, swags and egg-and-dart moldings. When the Landmarks Preservation Commission surveyed it, the porch had been replaced except for its roof, now sheathed in sheet metal, with new brick columns and metal railings; the stoop railings were also new, but the original front door survived.

“…porch replaced except for roof, which is covered with sheet metal; non-historic brick porch columns and metal porch railings…”
