Killianna Realty builds a matched pair of Neo-Romanesque apartment houses on 34th Avenue

The Killianna Realty & Construction Co. filed plans in 1929 for two six-story buildings at 82-02 and 82-16 34th Avenue, finished in 1930 to designs by Alfred H. Eccles and composed as a single block-end front. Recessed light courts divide that front into three parts and double as entrance courts. The multicolored brick is trimmed with stone and terra cotta: arched stone doorways with cartouches, carved lintels, corner colonnettes and stone shields at the roof. The original glass entry doors with iron grilles survive.
