Carpenter Frederick Naugle builds No. 94 as his own home
Frederick Naugle, a carpenter, put up this house in 1829-30 on land he bought from Jacob B. Taylor, and lived in it himself. It was a late Federal house of two and a half stories, with a wide, now double, front door that the Commission believes began as a single door with columns and sidelights on either side. In the mid-19th century it was raised to three stories.
