Permit NB 1318-11 covered nine tenements on the east side of Cornelia Street between Onderdonk and Woodward avenues, numbers 1852 through 1870, built in 1911 for developer G. X. Mathews to designs by Louis Allmendinger. Number 1854 has a four-bay front with a projecting last bay and a carved limestone entrance. In later years non-historic brick was laid over its historic bluestone stoop, and window grilles were added.
