Survey finds original pressed-metal cornices over all three of the building's storefronts
Read more
The Landmarks Preservation Commission's district survey found that the Onderdonk Avenue side still had historic pressed-metal cornices above each of its three storefronts, along with original brick framing and bulkhead at the corner shop. The shopfronts themselves had been altered with stucco infill, new doors and roll gates. The survey also lists an elevator bulkhead on the roof and notes the roof may be seen from the M train's Forest Avenue platform.
