The 831 Gerard Avenue Realty Corp. put up this eight-story building in 1937 to plans by H. Herbert Lilien. Its beige brick is picked out with orange-brick headers and striated spandrels, its corner windows wrap around the building, and a red-marble and metal portico frames the entrance at the top of a two-step stoop. The parapet and corner spandrels have since been covered in metal, and the original steel casements have been replaced.
